A Little Bit About Me....
In our childhood (let me specify period; it’s 70’s / 80’s), it was very common or rather standard to dream to become a Doctor or Engineer in life. We were not knowing anything else. Hence, following the then prevailing trend, completed Diploma and then Graduation in Mechanical Engineering. Post education have worked in Indian, Multinational companies at various levels and in various functions. My experience is mainly in Automobile manufacturing segments but also have worked in manufacturing of Engineering Tools, Metal Packaging and Specialty Cables. Was fortunate for opportunity to work on various QMS systems and with world known consultants. This helped me to gain knowledge / skill to develop various training modules and impart training to the juniors, peers and sometimes seniors also. Now this is what I did. But after retiring from regular work in 2021 when I look back; can see couple of unachieved dreams which I had some or other time in my life.
In our childhood days (prior to 1983 world cup win), popularity
of the cricket was growing like anything. So like others, also had a dream of
becoming a cricketer. But those days, only rich peoples can afford this game
(not from coaching point of view but for having necessary accessories). Therefore,
could not perceive this game due to family and circumstantial situations.
I also wanted very strongly, to learn how to play Tabla & Drum (music
instruments). But now, I have given up on this and accepted that can’t be
perceived.
During our days, only government run professional colleges were functioning.
Private colleges just started when we completed our engineering graduation. Hence,
soon I finished my final engineering exam., got a job in a private engineering
college; started just about a year before; as a Lecturer. On the very first
(and last) day of my joining, have been assigned to teach to third year student
(technically just 2 years junior to me) and that too the subject which I was struggling
to understand and score marks during my graduation. Most embarrassing, students
were calling me as sir, sir (at the age of 24 years) who in fact was calling
sir, sir to his professors just a day before. Could not digest this and run
away the very second day. But now after conducting training programmes on
various topics and industries, I realized that I like / enjoy teaching. I
regret my decision / running ways from teaching job but don’t have “UNDO”
command to make any change.
One more, many time wished to start writing, obviously in mother tongue.
Earlier never was fluent / comfortable in English. In fact; to be honest; was
rejected twice in job interview as was not able to communicate properly in
English. Even after conducting training in English, visiting foreign countries;
I still don’t claim to be master of English. Moreover, do not have any
experience of writing, for that matter in any language. This is my first
attempt and do hope to succeed.
With this blog, making an effort to share my thoughts, views,
experiences, stories anything and on any subject, topic anything, anything.
That’s why the name “ANYTHING”. Not constrained to or limited by anything. Hence,
guys, look forward for kind support from everyone and request to wish me “Best
